Voting is important so we can all have our say and have our opinions heard. In Australia it is compulsory to enrol and vote, which means you need to do it.
There are specific issues that I'm passionate about.
To have a say about who represents me and my community in parliament.
I want to make sure my thoughts and opinions are heard.
It’s my responsibility as a citizen.
I care about improving and having input into the decisions that impact my community.
If I’m not happy about decisions being made, I can vote for different people.
Because what happens in Australia matters to me.
It gives me the opportunity to impact the laws I have to follow.
The law says it’s compulsory for me to vote. This means I have to do it.
It’s a way to tell government what I would like to happen.
It’s a privilege to be able to vote. This means it is a great advantage and opportunity.
It’s an opportunity to make positive change in our community.
