About myAEC

MyAEC is a secure and convenient way to manage your AEC services online

myAEC uses multi-factor authentication which provides an additional layer of security and protection beyond traditional username and password combinations.

Multi-factor authentication is when you use two or more different types of actions to verify your identity. For example, when you receive an authentication code by SMS after entering your password to log into an online account. Multi-factor authentication defends against the majority of password-related cyberattacks. Visit the Australian Signals Directorate website for more information.

For additional security, the AEC uses reCAPTCHA to ensure you are a human and not a robot.

Creating and using your myAEC account allows you to access AEC EmployMe so you can register your interest to work at federal elections and login into your account.

When you create a myAEC account, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of Use. You also agree to how the Australian Government collects, uses, and discloses your personal information as set out in the Privacy Notice. Continuing and creating a MyAEC account means you have read and understood the terms of use.
