2024-25 annual financial disclosure return information to be published on Monday 2 February 2026

Updated: 29 January 2026

The 2024-25 annual financial disclosure return information will be available for public inspection after 9am (AEDT) on Monday 2 February 2026.

This will include return information from:

  • political parties
  • significant third parties
  • associated entities
  • members of the House of Representatives
  • Senators
  • donors, and
  • third parties that incur electoral expenditure.

The annual return information will be available on the AEC’s Transparency Register at https://transparency.aec.gov.au/.

What is the register and how does it work?

The Transparency Register is a database of financial disclosure information, allowing users to apply multiple filters to refine their search. It also includes a data-export function to enable users to undertake additional analysis of the data outside the Register.

If you are not familiar with the Transparency Register you can view the site ahead of time. Prior to 2 February, the system will only have information available for previous financial years.

Any questions on the navigation of the Transparency Register should be directed to the AEC’s funding and disclosure helpdesk on 02 6271 4552.

Editor’s notes:

  • The disclosure scheme requires registered political parties, significant third parties, associated entities, members of the House of Representatives, Senators, donors and third parties that have incurred electoral expenditure to lodge annual financial disclosure returns with the AEC.
  • 2024-25 annual disclosure return data may complement the election financial disclosure return data published by the AEC in October of 2025. Candidates in the 2025 federal election who were endorsed by a registered political party may have submitted a ‘nil return’ for election disclosures and rolled their reporting into the 2024-25 annual return for their party if those financial transactions were the responsibility of a party committee.
  • The disclosure threshold for the 2024–25 financial year returns was $16,900. The threshold is indexed on 1 July each year.
  • The disclosure period covers 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025. Any transactions made after 30 June 2025 will be disclosed in a future annual disclosure return.
  • Please note that information published to the internet can take a few minutes to appear for all users. If you don’t see information precisely at 9am, please wait a few minutes and try again.
  • Further information on the financial disclosure scheme is available at www.aec.gov.au/Parties_and_Representatives/financial_disclosure/.
  • In February 2025 the Parliament passed the Electoral Legislation Amendment (Electoral Reform) Act 2025, which will significantly change the funding and disclosure scheme commencing 1 July 2026. Information on funding and disclosure reforms is available at: Funding and disclosure legislative changes - Australian Electoral Commission.
