From today, voting teams from the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) are visiting remote locations across Australia so people can vote in the 2023 referendum.
Remote voting services will be from Monday 25 September to Saturday 14 October 2023.
You can find the schedule on our website, and search by your state or territory and communities. This includes the date of visit, times and location where the AEC remote voting teams will be setting up for people to cast their vote.
Voters can also search the website, or call us on 13 23 26.
All Australian people aged 18 years and older must vote in the referendum.
Community broadcasters, newspapers and other media and social media outlets in remote regions are encouraged to share the schedule with their communities.
Please note there may be changes to the schedule for reasons beyond the AEC’s control. We encourage you to regularly check the AEC website to keep communities up to date and encourage people to do the same if they have internet access, before setting out to vote.
If travelling, voters can see where they can cast their votes at pre-polling centres or on referendum voting day (14 October 2023) by using the Where to Vote tool.
