On 5 May 2016, Tim Courtney, A/g First Assistant Commissioner, as a delegate of the Electoral Commission for the purposes of s.134(3) of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918, approved the application from the Science Party to remove the abbreviation and enter the Party’s logo in the Register of Political Parties and for the Register to be amended accordingly.
The AEC acknowledges the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia and recognises their continuing connection to land, waters, culture and community. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
