Funding and Disclosure Reform user groups

The AEC recognises that complying with the funding and disclosure reforms will require candidates and political participants to modify processes, adopt new technologies and engage with the AEC’s regulatory processes on a more frequent basis.

To understand user requirements, the AEC has established user groups. These user groups provide a forum to understand what users need, and build a shared understanding of obligations and available support. Insights from the user groups will also inform development of a new digital platform for the Funding and Disclosure Scheme. The goal is to make it easier to submit information, track compliance, and access important data.

Consultation sessions will run from October 2025 to March 2026, as part of a broader effort to gather feedback and answer key questions.
