Name Derivation:

Named after Sir Isaac Alfred Isaacs (1855–1948), Member of the House of Representatives (1901–1906), Chief Justice of the High Court in 1930 and Governor-General of Australia (1931–1936).

Area and Location Description:

It covers an area of approximately 179 sq km on the eastern side of Port Phillip Bay from Cheltenham to Seaford then inland to Cranbourne.

The main suburbs include Aspendale, Aspendale Gardens, Bonbeach, Braeside, Carrum, Carrum Downs, Chelsea, Chelsea Heights, Cheltenham, Cranbourne, Edithvale, Lyndhurst, Mentone, Mordialloc, Parkdale, Patterson Lakes, Seaford and Skye.
