Dobell covers an area of approximately 952 sq km which includes areas of Wyong Shire and Gosford City Council. The main towns include Bateau Bay, Berkeley Vale, Blue Haven, Gorokan, Ourimbah, The Entrance, Wamberal, Warnervale, Wyoming, Wyong and the Yarramalong Valley.
