Time is running out to enrol for the Wentworth by-election

The Australian Electoral Commission today reminded voters that the electoral roll for the Wentworth by-election will close at 8pm Monday 24 September 2018.  

Australian Electoral Officer for New South Wales, Warwick Austin said that all Australian citizens aged 18 years and over and living in the federal electoral division of Wentworth are required by law to enrol and vote in the by-election.

"You can enrol online, or if you'e already enrolled but have recently moved, you can update your enrolment details online," Mr Austin said.

"Alternatively, you can pick up an enrolment application at any AEC office, but you must return the completed application to the AEC by the 8pm deadline on Monday 24 September 2018."

On Monday 24 September 2018, all AEC offices in New South Wales will be open for extended hours from 8.30am to 8.00pm to receive enrolment applications.

"If you're unsure if your enrolment details are up to date, or whether you live in the Division of Wentworth, you can check your details online now or call the AEC on 13 23 26," Mr Austin said.
