A total of 1 480 303 Western Australians are enrolled for the 2014 WA Senate election, the AEC announced today.
This figure compares with the 1 452 272 voters in Western Australia for the 2013 federal election as at the close of rolls on 12 August 2013.
Acting Australian Electoral Officer for Western Australia, Kathy Mitchell, said it is now important for all enrolled voters to make sure they vote at the 2014 WA Senate election.
“For voters who can’t make it to a polling place on election day, Saturday 5 April, early voting centres will become available from Tuesday 18 March or you can apply online now for a postal vote,” Ms Mitchell said.
All Australian citizens aged 18 years and over who are enrolled in WA are required by law to vote in the 2014 WA Senate election.
