2018-19 annual financial disclosure returns published today
Updated: 03 February 2020
The 2018-19 annual financial disclosure returns from political parties, political campaigners, associated entities, donors and third parties who incur electoral expenditure are now available for public inspection.
The annual returns are available on the AEC’s Transparency Register. The Transparency Register replaces the previous annual returns locator tool. The Transparency Register provides images of the original returns and allows users to more easily apply multiple filters to disclosure data. It also includes a data export function to enable users to undertake additional analysis of the data.
Editor’s notes:
- The disclosure scheme requires registered political parties, political campaigners, associated entities, donors and third parties who incur electoral expenditure to lodge annual financial disclosure returns with the AEC.
- The disclosure threshold for the 2018-19 financial year returns was 'more than $13,800’. The threshold is indexed on 1 July each year.
- The disclosure period covers 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019. Any transactions made after 30 June 2019 should be disclosed in the 2019-20 annual disclosure return.
