Named after Sir Charles Kingsford Smith (1897–1935), Australia's most famous aviator who pioneered more long distance routes than any other pilot in history.
It covers an area of approximately 62 sq km from Cape Banks, Botany Bay in the south to Randwick and Clovelly in the north.
