It covers an area of approximately 59 sq km from Blackburn and Mitcham in the west to Ringwood and Croydon in the east.

The main suburbs include Bayswater North, Blackburn, Blackburn North, Blackburn South, Burwood East, Croydon, Forest Hill, Heathmont, Mitcham, Nunawading, Ringwood, Ringwood East and Vermont.

Mainly residential with some light manufacturing, commercial and retail industries.
