5. Objections to the proposed redistribution

Members of the public were invited to submit written objections to the proposed redistribution from Friday 31 May 2024.

Objections may concern one or more proposed electoral divisions and may be about:

  • which electoral division to abolish,
  • names of federal electoral divisions,
  • boundaries of federal electoral divisions, or
  • the names and boundaries of federal electoral divisions.

Objections must be received by the Victorian augmented Electoral Commission by 6pm AEST Friday 28 June 2024 to allow them to be considered.

Viewing objections

All objections will be published to this page from Monday 1 July 2024.

Please note that while the names of persons and organisations that lodge written objections will be published, signatures and personal address details (including email) will be removed prior to any publication.

Objections will also be available to be viewed at the AEC office at Level 6, 150 Lonsdale Steet, Melbourne (please note you will need to call the Redistribution Secretariat on (03) 9968 5731 to make an appointment to gain access).
