Name derivation:
Named in honour of Bennelong, 1764?–1813. Bennelong was a young Aboriginal man who was captured by Governor Arthur Phillip in 1789. He was later taken to England where he met the King.

  • The Council of the Municipality of Hunters Hill,
  • Lane Cove Municipal Council,
  • Council of the City of Ryde,
  • part of the Council of the City of Parramatta, and
  • part of the Willoughby City Council
