Inquiry into Aspects of Section 44 of the Constitution

After receiving a reference from the Government inquire into the operation of subsections 44(i) and 44(iv) of the Constitution, the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Legal and Constitution Affairs advertised for submissions and received 37, including two from the AEC as listed below.

Inquiry into the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Bill 2000

The Attorney-General, the Hon. Daryl Williams AM QC MP requested the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs to inquire into the provisions of the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Bill 2000. The Committee received 109 submissions, including one from the AEC as listed below.
