Redistribution quota for the Australian Capital Territory
The Electoral Commissioner has determined the redistribution quota for the redistribution of the Australian Capital Territory.
The redistribution quota for the Australian Capital Territory is calculated by dividing the enrolment numbers at the date the redistribution commenced (12 August 2025) by the number of members of the House of Representatives to which the Australian Capital Territory is entitled.

Projected enrolment quota for the Australian Capital Territory
Projection time
The projection time for a redistribution is calculated in accordance with section 63A of the Electoral Act.
The “starting time” to calculate is the date when the augmented Electoral Commission will cause the names and boundaries of federal electorates in the Australian Capital Territory to be published in the Gazette. For this redistribution, the starting time is 8 October 2026.
The standard projection time of three years and six months will apply for this redistribution. The projection time for this redistribution is therefore 8 April 2030.
Projected enrolment quota
The projected enrolment quota is calculated by dividing the projected enrolment numbers in the Australian Capital Territory at the projection time by the number of members of the House of Representatives to which the Australian Capital Territory is entitled.
