Writ received for Wentworth by-election

Electoral Commissioner Tom Rogers today confirmed he had received the writ for the Wentworth by-election from the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

“The writ now formally confirms the full timetable for the Wentworth by-election,” Mr Rogers said.

“Australian citizens aged 18 years and over living in the division of Wentworth have until 8pm on Monday 24 September to ensure they are correctly enrolled in order to vote in the by-election.”

Close of rolls 8pm Monday, 24 September 2018
Close of nominations 12 midday Thursday, 27 September 2018
Declaration of nominations 12 midday Friday, 28 September 2018
Early voting starts Tuesday, 2 October 2018
By-election day Saturday, 20 October 2018
Return of writs on or before 26 December 2018
