Don’t forget to vote in the Batman by-election on Saturday

Updated: 13 March 2018

This Saturday is by-election day for voters in the federal electoral Division of Batman.

Australian Electoral Officer for Victoria, Steve Kennedy said that it is compulsory for every voter enrolled in the division of Batman to vote in the by-election.

“Batman voters will be able to vote on Saturday between 8.00am and 6.00pm at any one of the 39 polling places that will be open across the Division of Batman,” Mr Kennedy said.

The location of polling places for Batman can be found on the by-elecion page or by calling 13 23 26. Polling place locations will also be advertised in the Preston Leader newspaper on Tuesday 13 March and the Northcote Leader newspaper on Wednesday 14 March.

Mr Kennedy urged all Batman voters to take care when filling out their ballot paper to ensure their vote can be counted.

“Batman voters need to make sure that every box is numbered from 1 to 10 in the order of their choice,” Mr Kennedy said.

For Batman voters who can’t make it to a polling place on Saturday, early voting is still available until 6.00pm this Friday at early voting centres. A list of early voting locations for Batman is available.
