Linked to the National Statements of Learning for Civics and Citizenship, Democracy Rules is designed to engage students to become active, involved citizens.

History of the Indigenous Vote traces the history of the Indigenous people's right to vote in Australia. The story includes gaining the vote, along with other Australians, in the mid 1800s, losing the vote at Federation, and active participation in the electoral process in modern day Australia.

This magazine covers topics such as, how we are represented in the Commonwealth Parliament, how we elect our representatives, conduct referendums and other aspects of the electoral process. It is suitable for secondary students and adult learners.

All you ever wanted to know about Australian Democracy

This magazine provides a simple yet comprehensive introduction to the electoral system for the House of Representatives. It is in cartoon format and has been produced for primary students although it is can also be used with secondary students.

Brochures & Posters

This brochure provides an outline of the referendum process, how Australia is a Federation of States and has a national parliament. It includes a complete list and the outcomes of all referendums to date.

Federation Fact Sheets

This collection of four fact sheets covers topics pertaining to our nations Federation. Topics include 'Referendums', 'The First Commonwealth Parliament' and 'Voting in the Federal Election 1903'. Each of the fact sheets comes with accompanying activity sheet.
