On 7 December 2005, the delegate of the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) deregistered Australians Against Further Immigration (the Party).

Deregistration of the Party was in accordance with paragraph 137(1)(cb) of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 for failure to comply with a notice under section 138A of the Act: Review of eligibility of parties to remain in the Register of Political Parties.

Similarly, other individuals and orginisations/lobby groups (third parties) who take part in an elction campaign may also be rquired to disclose details of gifts made.
