On 14 February 2005, the Australian Electoral Commission registered One Nation Western Australia as a political party for federal elections.

The deregistration on 8 February 2005 of Pauline Hanson’s One Nation for federal elections had no affect on the registration of One Nation Western Australia.

Political parties may also be registered for some State/Territory elections. This is a separate matter to registration for federal elections and is undertaken by the relevant State/Territory electoral authority.
